Nurse Practitioner

Our Nurse Practitioner offers 'Same Day' and 'Next Day' appointments.
Nurse Practitioners can help you with various ACUTE ailments and injuries such as:- Ear and Throat problems, Urinary infections, Coughs & Colds, Rashes, Chest infections Contraception and Wound infections. They are qualified to prescribe medication for you.

The Practice Nurses are employed to help provide help and advice in aspects of health care and in prevention of ill health. They undertake routine cervical smears, and can provide help and advice on various health matters.
Health Care Assistants
Susan Dixon
Health Care Assistants are not qualified nurses but they have been specially trained to provide a pre-screening service prior to attendance at Disease Clinics. They can take health measurements including blood pressure, bloods, height, weight, urinalysis and Well Person checks. They work under the instruction of a qualified nurse.

District Nurses
The role of the District Nurse is to promote good health and reduce ill health by raising the standard of assessment and care delivery in a variety of settings, placing emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, effective intervention and management.

Every family with a child under 5 has a Health Visitor. A Health Visitor is a Registered General Nurse who has further specialist training in family and community health. Your Health Visitor is here to promote good health not just for your child but for the whole family.
