Booking Your Appointment

You can book appointments with the Doctors and Nurses using one of the following methods:

·   Online, you will need to register for this service - see Online Services for more details

·   By Telephone: Please call us on 01670 822695.

·   In Person: Call into your surgery

The telephone lines open at 8.30am, the receptionist will be able arrange a convenient date and time for you to attend.  The Practice aims to offer patients a routine appointment within 48 hours, however patients wishing to book an appointment with a specific Doctor of their choice, may have to wait longer.  Routine appointments with a GP are 10 minutes, if you need to discuss more than one problem please inform our receptionist when booking the appointment and he/she will ensure you are given a longer appointment slot.  

All patients are able to book appointments with any GP at the Practice not just the GP you are registered with.

Urgent Appointments

If you have a medical problem that you feel is urgent and cannot wait until the next available appointment, then the our duty doctor will see you on the same day.  It is important to remember that this will be a doctor of your choice and you may have to wait to be seen.  If you feel you require an urgent appointment, please inform our receptionist at the time of booking and you will be given a time to come and wait at the surgery - the doctor will see you as soon as possible.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late for an appointment, the receptionist will inform the Doctor or Nurse you are seeing and we will try to fit you in.  However this may not be possible and you may need to wait until the end of the surgery session before you are seen. 

Telephone Advice

The Practice runs a telephone advice clinic everyday.  If you would like to speak to a doctor please inform our receptionists and we will take some details and a arrange for a doctor to call you back.  Please understand that we are unable to give a specific time as the doctors are busy during surgery times.  A doctor will ring you as soon as possible usually after 11:00am however you will need to be available to take the call all morning.

Extended Hours

To help patients who have daytime committments we now run surgeries outside of normal working hours.  Appointments are available as follows every week:

·   Monday 7:00am until 8:00am

·   Wednesday 6:30pm until 8:00pm

Please note that not all doctors are available during these sessions and that we are unable to deal with urgent cases.  These sessions are specifically for routine appointments only.
